Bar Food that Deserves to be Called Food
So I typically don’t expect much when I eat lunch at a bar & grill establishment. The sandwiches are your run-of-the-mill selection and they come with the usual side of fries. Places like this are simply a quick way to grab a lunch. I have discovered that not all bar and grills are created equal though. My opinion on “bar lunch” all changed when I had lunch at Big Daddy’s Patio Bar & Grill in downtown Edwardsville.
Big Daddy’s has some of the biggest and best tasting sandwiches I’ve ever been witness to. The first one I want to talk about is “The B.A.S.” A huge, delicious pulled pork sandwich topped with homemade coleslaw. My friend ordered one and we could not get over how much food he got for only $6.25. The meal looked like it would cost at least $10 anywhere else! Oh, and my friend didn’t order fries, he ordered the buffalo chips. They have a great spicy taste that really gave his meal an extra kick.
I have my own favorite at Big Daddy’s. The Chicken Caesar Wrap was something I can’t even put into words correctly. I’ve never had a wrap at a restaurant that was packed with so much flavor. I don’t think you can find a tastier wrap anywhere on this planet. It was simply delectable and after I was done with my last bite I felt completely satisfied.
All the bartenders and cooks there take their work very seriously. They’ve always greeted me and my friends with a smile and followed it up with quick and friendly service. So if you’re looking for a great place to have a delicious meal and some drinks, head to downtown Edwardsville and let Big Daddy’s relieve your appetite! And be sure to tell them Jay from My-Eddy.com sent you!
