Glen Carbon Ranked Among Best Places to Live

CNN Money has released a list of the 100 Best Places to Live. Glen Carbon made the list at #91 for the great location, economic development, and affordable housing. The article also referenced the recent Homecoming festivities as a bright spot. We personally like the Heritage Bike Trail and the newly renovated Centennial Library.

Land of Goshen Community Market

Land of Goshen Market has been a staple in downtown Edwardsville for over 10 years. Established in 1997, the community market offers great produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and works of art.

The latest addition to the “home grown Saturday mornings” is the local bands and artisan demonstrations. The community market takes place every Saturday from 8am-Noon through October 10, 2009. Vendors are set up on St. Louis Street, just off of Main St. and next to the Courthouse.

The vendors and products at the market change depending on the time of year so check out the seasonal produce schedule to find out when to catch your favorites. Eggplant anyone?
