MCT Bike Trails and Public Transportation

Get outsite and enjoy the beautiful weather on the Madison County Transit bike trails! Edwardsville and Glen Carbon have some of the most elaborate bike trail networks in Illinois. In our Eddy Scavenger Hunt research we found out that the bike trails actually used to be train railways. Interesting stuff!

Arch Rivalry Mizzou vs. Illini Football

The aptly named Arch Rivalry game between the Fighting Illini and the Mizzou Tigers is Saturday, September 5th. Both teams come into the season as BCS bowl game hopefuls and, as always, bragging rights are on the line (Mizzou won last year 52-42).

The Arch Rivalry weekend comes with more than just the football game. Events start on Friday night with live bands and a pep rally. There is also a weekend kickoff party at The Over/Under Bar & Grill with appetizers and open bar for ticket holders.

Saturday morning features a youth clinic for the kids and a festive Missouri v. Illinois Riverboat Race! Laclede’s Landing also hosts the multi-stage Big Muddy Blues Festival this weekend. Before the game the Bud Light tailgate party at 11am, gates will open at 1pm, and kickoff for the game is at 2:30pm.
